Denim Takeover!

Denim is IN this year. I'm not just talking about jeans! Anything denim from shorts, dresses, jackets, and vests to handbags, skirts, and everything you can imagine! It's obviously no secret that denim is a major material in the world of fashion. I mean, who DOESN'T own a simple pair of jeans?! But this year, the denim trend has sparked up to a whole new level. Some designers even make denim jewelry! For instance, I found this denim vest (pictured below) the other day (it's from Forever 21), and I absolutely love it! Also, if you have any old denim jeans, you can recycle them and make a handbag out of them! Not only is denim a major fashion trend lately, COLORED denim is blowing up as well (examples pictured below courtesy of http://frugal-fashionistas.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/colored-denim.jpg)! :) I don't know about you, but I'm loving this denim trend!

Finally- An Acne Treatment That Works!

Acne is probably one of the most annoying things in the world. It's hard to treat, and even harder to prevent. I've tried a lot of products on my skin and none of them seemed to cleanse and moisturize without irritating my skin as well. I have very sensitive skin, so some of the products I've tried have been too harsh on it. About 2 months ago, I found a cleanser made by Elizabeth Arden and decided to try it. It's made especially for sensitive skin. The first time I tried it, it was already the best cleanser I'd ever had. My faces was breaking out, and I applied the cleanser at night. When I woke up in the morning, my face was ALREADY beginning to clear up! You're probably thinking "Yeah right", but it really did! It leaves your skin so smooth and it feels so light and clean afterwards! It's made of all natural ingredients, too! I honestly didn't expect it to be any better than the previous products I had tried, but I was so wrong. It sounds like I'm in a commercial or something- but really I'm just telling you about this great product I recently discovered! Is it weird to say that I'm in love with a facial cleanser? Well, I am!

The Top 10 2013 Spring/Summer Trends!

From beauty to fashion- It's time to reveal the top trends for this Spring and Summer! 1) High-waisted shorts: Let's be honest, we haven't seen many people wearing high-waisted shorts in over a decade. But this year, they seem to be making a comeback! 2) Polka dots: Patterns are one of the major factors we look at when choosing our clothing- do we want plaid, stripes, tye dye... This year, the answer to our question is POLKA DOTS. People wear polka dots year-round, but they are the most fitting to wear in the spring/summer. It gives your outfit that "pop" it needs to stand out... but not too much! 3) Light/natural make up: Obviously, spring/summer is a time for bright colors. This year, many ladies have decided to wear light/natural colored make up. In a recent survey, even men find it more attractive when women wear light/natural make up, or even no make up at all! It shows that they are somewhat confident and that they aren't trying too hard to impress. 4)Bows: Whether you wear a bow in your hair, around your neck, on your clothing, or even jewelry with bows on it- bows are IN this year! 5) Maxi dresses: Who doesn't love a long dress that extends down to your calf muscles? It may not sound too appealing to some, but once you put it on and take a look in the mirror you'll see why everyone is going crazy over these! 6) Scarves: Ok, I know what you're thinking... Who wants to wear a scarf when it's warm outside? A lot of people, actually. In the spring/summer, many women prefer to wear light/thin scarves. You obviously don't want to be wearing a thick, winter scarf when it's hot outside! You don't even need to wear it around your neck if you don't want to... Scarves also make good belts! 7) Pastel colors- They give your look a natural, but also very appealing style. You don't want to wear dark colors in the spring/summer, and light colors are nice... But pastel colors, such as lilac, really bring out a new side of you that people will adore! 8) Metallic/sparkle nail polish: I'm sure a lot of you have seen or heard about the crackle nail polishes. Well those are definitely in this year, as well as anything sparkly or metallic! Some may see it as "out there" and while it will draw attention, it's a good kind of attention. I've worn it many times and have received many compliments for it! Metallic colors are IN, especially silver! 9)Lace: Who doesn't love lace? Whether the lace be on a shirt, skirt, dress, or even some swimsuits, lace is one of the most popular trends of the year- especially for spring/summer! It may have been seen as "old fashioned" a few years ago, but it sure is making a comeback as it's seen as very fashionable! 10) Bold/Big jewelry: Some of you may be thinking "I don't want jewelry that's going to be really gaudy or draw a lot of attention", but this year big and bold jewelry is making a statement! It allows you to add your individual style to an outfit. A piece of jewelry goes a long way!

Everyone is always looking for good hair care products to use, whether they want to reduce frizziness, soften, moisturize, or add shine to their hair. I found these products made by a company called "Creation Gardens"- and I have to say these are some of the best hair care products I've ever tried! They work for all types of hair. My hair is long and very curly so it's hard to find something that will make my hair feel really soft, untangled, and help reduce frizz. These products (especially the leave-in conditioner) do that. They even have natural ingredients that won't damage your hair. In fact, they help repair the damage and after you apply it, the results are instantaneous and your hair feels so fresh/healthy, and looks like that too! ]
