Oppa Gangnam Nails!

Story time! Today, I went to get my nails done. I was browsing the different colors they had, and came across something very interesting- Gangnam Style nail polish! It even had a picture of the little guy doing the dance! I thought it was funny and I liked the color, so I decided to choose that one. I ended up getting the neon coral color! Anyway, I decided to write a post about nail polish! First, a few tips: -When choosing a color, always make sure it's something that goes with the mood/season. If it's spring or summer, go with a light color! -If you have a special occasion coming up that you need to dress up for, ALWAYS make sure your nail color matches whatever you are going to wear. -A lot of people have trouble choosing a color because they want their nails to always match what they are wearing. To be honest, almost every nail color could fit into an outfit somehow. But to be safe, you can always go with a more neutral color like a very light pink, or even silver. -Apply a coat of clear nail polish before and/or after you apply the regular color. It helps smooth and harden the polish, also preventing chips therefore making it last longer. -If you decide you want to go with something a little more detailed than just one color, switch it up a bit! You can alternate colors with every nail. (Like having your thumb, middle finger, and pink pink and your other two fingers purple for example!) -They also have special polish made specifically for designs- these usually come in thinner tubes, hens a thinner brush. If you can't add the detail yourself, go to a nail place or ask someone to help you. -You can always add glitter or crackle nail polish if you feel like it! Attached is a picture of the Gangnam Style polishes- like I said earlier, I got the coral one! Also, I'm in love with this aqua color scale polish! No matter what nail color you decide on, a little splash of color to your nails could spice up any look!

Top Trend of the Month!

There are so many new trends slowly making their way into the fashion world. One of them are tie-front tops! A tie-front top is exactly what it sounds like- a top with a tie in the front. I can see these trending for a long time. They're so cute, and some of them can even be tied into bows! From tank tops to blouses to T-Shirts, tie-front tops are getting more and more popular by the day! I love this polka dot one from Urban Outfitters! If I could, I would completely fill my closet with hundreds of tie-front tops!

Capri Time!

Do you sometimes have trouble choosing what pants to wear because of the weather? "It's too hot for long pants, but too cold for shorts!" That's where capri pants come in. Capris are pants/jeans that cover about three quarters of the legs (below the knees and above the calves). They're very in style this year, especially for spring! Check these Capris out!

Denim Takeover!

Denim is IN this year. I'm not just talking about jeans! Anything denim from shorts, dresses, jackets, and vests to handbags, skirts, and everything you can imagine! It's obviously no secret that denim is a major material in the world of fashion. I mean, who DOESN'T own a simple pair of jeans?! But this year, the denim trend has sparked up to a whole new level. Some designers even make denim jewelry! For instance, I found this denim vest (pictured below) the other day (it's from Forever 21), and I absolutely love it! Also, if you have any old denim jeans, you can recycle them and make a handbag out of them! Acne is probably one of the most annoying things in the world. It's hard to treat, and even harder to prevent. I've tried a lot of products on my skin and none of them seemed to cleanse and moisturize without irritating my skin as well. I have very sensitive skin, so some of the products I've tried have been too harsh on it. About 2 months ago, I found a cleanser made by Elizabeth Arden and decided to try it. It's made especially for sensitive skin. The first time I tried it, it was already the best cleanser I'd ever had. My faces was breaking out, and I applied the cleanser at night. When I woke up in the morning, my face was ALREADY beginning to clear up! You're probably thinking "Yeah right", but it really did! It leaves your skin so smooth and it feels so light and clean afterwards! It's made of all natural ingredients, too! I honestly didn't expect it to be any better than the previous products I had tried, but I was so wrong. It sounds like I'm in a commercial or something- but really I'm just telling you about this great product I recently discovered! Is it weird to say that I'm in love with a facial cleanser? From beauty to fashion- It's time to reveal the top trends for this Spring and Summer! 1) High-waisted shorts: Let's be honest, we haven't seen many people wearing high-waisted shorts in over a decade. But this year, they seem to be making a comeback! 2) Polka dots: Patterns are one of the major factors we look at when choosing our clothing- do we want plaid, stripes, tye dye... This year, the answer to our question is POLKA DOTS. People wear polka dots year-round, but they are the most fitting to wear in the spring/summer. It gives your outfit that "pop" it needs to stand out... but not too much! 3) Light/natural make up: Obviously, spring/summer is a time for bright colors. This year, many ladies have decided to wear light/natural colored make up. In a recent survey, even men find it more attractive when women wear light/natural make up, or even no make up at all! It shows that they are somewhat confident and that they aren't trying too hard to impress. 4)Bows: Whether you wear a bow in your hair, around your neck, on your clothing, or even jewelry with bows on it- bows are IN this year! 5) Maxi dresses: Who doesn't love a long dress that extends down to your calf muscles?
